Fleischer’s Kicks Off Lean Manufacturing Project

Recognizing the competitive need to eliminate waste from its manufacturing and administrative operations, Fleischer’s has partnered with Rochester, New York-based High Tech Rochester (HTR) on a lean manufacturing initiative at its Macedon, New York facility.

HTR is a not-for-profit economic development organization that receives significant financial support from the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR®), New York's high-technology economic development agency, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). In addition to HTR’s support Fleischer’s has engaged CMS Consulting Group, a Mendon, New York-based leader in lean manufacturing consulting, as its primary lean training partner for this project.

The initial six month training program will be managed by CMS vice president Scott Taylor and a cross-functional team of senior managers from Fleischer’s including president Robert Drago, CFO Keith Bleier and director of operations Eric Kestenblatt.
